Fishery Management

Due to extensive work at Lythe Hill the water is not available for close season fishing.

Fishery Management Work parties

Details of work parties are included in the newsletter sent to members

Extensive work is undertaken each season and in 2008 the main area is to rebuild the islands at Lythe Hill that have eroded over the years.

Tons of clay are being wheel barrelled over a walkway to the two islands, a back aching job that has taken much linger that expected. This is why no fishing has been possible during the close season.

At Shillinglee track and swim repairs have been ongoing as has ditch clearing

The Society has been fortunate to have such a dedicated and willing group of members who have attended work parties helping to share the workload.

If you do attend please bring along suitable tools and protective clothing and be there for 9am start and to work until 1pm or later. Each work party has a team leader who will allocate jobs to those there.
