For those unable to attend on the dates below, there will be a list of work to do on the Shillinglee notice board, please cross off work done and write your name on the sheet provided.

AGM
The proposal from the Committee that a new general rule follows from rule 14. This rule will read as follows. 'Anyone wishing to stand for election as an Officer of the Society or as a Committee Member must notify the Hon. Secretary before 31st January with details of their intention to stand, proposed and seconded. The people proposing and seconding must have been adult members of the Society for at least two years'.
This rule has been put in place to protect the assets of the society and was passed without any objections.
There were also several changes to the byelaws as follows.
Appendix to Byelaws A; Shillinglee 3 to be altered to read ' No night Carp fishing unless valid Carp Night Ticket held.'
and
Appendix to Byelaws; C. Lythe Hill No.3 to be removed since this is covered by Gen. Byelaw 7.
These were passed unchanged and unanimously.
General Byelaw 23 be removed and incoroporated into Appendix to Byelaws A. Shillinglee No. 4 as;
'If you are carp fishing during the day and do not have a valid Carp Night Ticket you must not start Carp fishing any earlier than sunrise and must stop Carp fishing no later than sunset. The time of sunrise and sunset will be taken as those given in the daily papers.
This was passed unanimously once the 1 hour before sunrise and 1 hour after sunset had been removed.
Eve of season bar-b-que
The new season will soon be here and the annual bar-b-que will be held at Shillinglee on the 15th June, this is as a thank you to all of those that have attended a work party, but all are welcome.
The bar-b-que will be lit around 6pm.
This evening gets better year on year, and more people are attending. The bar-b-que will be lit at 6pm.
