Matches

Matches are held through the season for members, both junior and seniors, to fish providing a variety of venues including visiting other clubs waters. We do not participate in any leagues.

A short match series is also held for juniors including non members. Please check the website for details

There are no high pool money prizes and the emphasis is on a friendly good-natured rivalry between those taking part.

Running throughout the season - not every Sunday there are various trophies to be won and held for a year and medals for the first three:

• Club senior and junior championship
• Winter championship
• Evening matches
• Night matches
• 4 man team series
• Mini series at specific venues
• The largest fish and specific species of fish
• Heaviest bag
• Best specimen
• Largest pike
• Most pike in matches

The club organises a trophy presentation night, normally in May, to give out the trophies and medals, provide light refreshments, and allows the match angler to make fresh challenges for the forthcoming season.

A fixture list is given out with the new season membership pages and details of the trophies applying to a specific match. Details of the trophies are contained at the end of the membership booklet.

Junior Matches

The junior series of matches have been cancelled due to the unforeseen circumstances of the organiser being unable to run these due to a road accident.
